NCT ID NCT05289466
First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looked at a treatment for women with early-stage breast cancer who had already received radiation to the chest area. It combined a partial mastectomy (removing just the tumor) with a single dose of radiation given during surgery (IORT). The goal was to see if this approach could preserve the breast and maintain good cosmetic results while keeping complications low. Only 5 participants were enrolled before the study was stopped early.
