First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a special type of PET/MR scan, using a tracer called fluorocholine, can predict the molecular subtype and likely outcome of breast cancer before treatment. Researchers will scan 195 women with newly diagnosed breast cancer and compare the images to the actual tumor type and patient response. The goal is to find imaging markers that help guide treatment decisions without needing extra biopsies.
