New combo therapy tested to fight advanced breast cancer
NCT ID NCT02297438
Summary
This study tested if adding a new drug called palbociclib to a standard hormone therapy (letrozole) was better at controlling advanced breast cancer than the standard therapy alone. It involved 340 Asian, postmenopausal women whose cancer had spread and who had not yet received treatment for their advanced disease. The main goal was to see if the combination could delay the cancer from getting worse for a longer time.
