Researchers probe hidden side effect of breast cancer chemo
NCT ID NCT07315880
Summary
This study aimed to find out if chemotherapy given before breast cancer surgery can cause early fluid buildup in the arm, which is a warning sign for a chronic swelling condition called lymphedema. Researchers measured fluid levels in the arms of 111 women before and after their standard chemotherapy using a painless device and tape measurements. The goal was to gather knowledge to help spot this problem earlier and potentially prevent it in the future.
