New hope for controlling breast cancer brain spread
NCT ID NCT05041842
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a new drug called tucatinib to two standard breast cancer drugs (pertuzumab and trastuzumab) can better control cancer that has spread to the brain. It is for people with HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer whose brain tumors progressed but were treated locally (like with radiation or surgery). The main goal is to see if this three-drug combination can keep the cancer from getting worse for longer.
