Scientists test if supercharged bread can tame blood sugar spikes
NCT ID NCT03836495
Summary
This study tested whether adding the amino acid lysine and the mineral phosphorus to white bread could improve how the body handles it after a meal. Researchers recruited 16 healthy adults to eat different fortified breads and measured their blood sugar levels and energy use afterward. The main goal was to gather knowledge about how these nutrients might affect metabolism, not to provide a treatment.
