Tracking cancer risk in women with BRCA genes

NCT ID NCT03296826

Summary

This study aims to understand how often and why women with BRCA gene changes develop ovarian, fallopian tube, and peritoneal cancers. Researchers will follow 600 Japanese women with these genetic variants over time, tracking who develops cancer and examining factors like lifestyle and preventive surgeries. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help improve cancer prevention and monitoring strategies for high-risk women.
