Scientists zap healthy brains with ultrasound to study impulse control
NCT ID NCT06477029
Summary
This study aims to understand how a non-invasive ultrasound technique affects brain activity in healthy adults. Researchers will target a specific brain area involved in processing rewards and surprises. The goal is to gather basic knowledge that could one day inform new approaches for conditions like addiction, but this study does not treat any disorder.
