Glowing dye lights up brain tumors for surgeons

NCT ID NCT02191488

Summary

This study is testing a special fluorescent dye that makes brain tumor cells glow under a special light during surgery. The goal is to help surgeons see the edges of the tumor more clearly so they can remove as much of it as possible. Researchers are comparing how well the glow from the dye matches actual tumor tissue samples taken during the operation.
