Glowing dye could help surgeons remove brain tumors more completely

NCT ID NCT02191488

Summary

This study is testing whether a special fluorescent dye can help surgeons see brain tumor boundaries more clearly during surgery. Patients receive the dye before their operation, which makes tumor cells glow under special light. Researchers are comparing how well this glowing signal matches actual tumor tissue samples to see if it helps surgeons remove tumors more completely.
