Glowing brain tumors: new dye lights up cancer for surgeons

NCT ID NCT06417281

Summary

This study tested a special dye that patients drink before brain surgery. The dye makes cancerous brain tumor cells glow bright pink under a special blue light during the operation. This helps surgeons see the edges of the tumor more clearly, with the goal of removing more of the cancer while sparing healthy brain tissue.
