Brain boost pill tested on Ex-Athletes and veterans

NCT ID NCT07050173

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether a dietary supplement called gamma-glutamylcysteine (GGC) can increase protective antioxidant levels in the brain and improve thinking skills in people with a history of many head impacts. It will enroll 30 retired NFL players or military veterans who have memory or behavioral concerns. Researchers will use brain scans, blood tests, and thinking assessments to see if the supplement helps.
