Scientists scan brains to unlock secrets of flexible thinking

NCT ID NCT07217652

Summary

This is a basic research study to understand how a deep brain area helps people think flexibly and switch between tasks. Healthy participants will play thinking games while having a high-resolution brain scan. The goal is to learn how the brain organizes thoughts, which may help explain why people with conditions like schizophrenia and ADHD sometimes struggle with mental flexibility.
