First seen Feb 26, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study uses brain wave recordings (EEG) to understand how people with borderline personality disorder (BPD) experience social pain, like feeling left out. Researchers will compare 62 adults with and without BPD while they play a virtual ball-tossing game. The goal is to identify brain activity patterns linked to heightened sensitivity to social rejection, which could lead to better treatments.
