Scientists scan brains to unlock mystery of walking problems in older adults
NCT ID NCT07372937
Summary
This study aims to understand how brain changes affect walking and balance in people with cerebral small vessel disease, a common condition in older adults. Researchers will compare brain scans and electrical activity in 40 participants (20 patients and 20 healthy adults) while they watch walking videos and complete movement tests. The goal is to identify brain patterns that explain walking difficulties, which could help develop better rehabilitation methods in the future.
