Scientists scan brains to solve embarrassing bladder leaks

NCT ID NCT04227184

Summary

This study aimed to understand how the brain is involved in bladder control problems that cause sudden leaks. Researchers gave 207 women aged 60+ either a bladder medication or a placebo and used MRI brain scans to see if brain changes were linked to symptom improvement. The goal was to gather knowledge about the brain's role in incontinence to potentially guide future treatments.
