Scientists zap brains to map how we think
NCT ID NCT06919172
Summary
This study aims to understand how stimulating specific brain areas with magnets affects brain activity and performance on complex thinking tasks. Researchers will use a combination of brain stimulation (TMS) and MRI scans on 40 healthy young adults while they complete computer-based puzzles. The goal is to learn how different brain regions communicate during tasks requiring planning, switching focus, and remembering sequences.
