Summary

This study looks at whether combining a non-invasive brain stimulation technique (rTMS) with either a gut medication or probiotics can better relieve symptoms of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D). About 140 adults with chronic abdominal pain and diarrhea will be randomly assigned to one of four treatment groups. The goal is to see if these combinations work better than either approach alone.
