Summary
This study is following patients with severe, medication-resistant Tourette syndrome for five years after they receive a surgical treatment called deep brain stimulation. Doctors implant small electrodes in a specific brain area to send electrical pulses, aiming to reduce tic severity and improve daily life. The research will track tics, mental health, thinking skills, and overall well-being to see how well the treatment works long-term and who might benefit most.
