Scientists zap teen brains to unlock memory secrets

NCT ID NCT05662280

Summary

This research study aims to understand how a safe, non-invasive brain stimulation technique affects brain activity related to working memory in adolescents with ADHD and memory difficulties. It involves 40 teens aged 12-18 who will receive both real and fake stimulation while their brain waves are measured. The goal is to gather knowledge about how specific brain regions work together during memory tasks, which could inform future treatments, but this study itself is not designed to provide a treatment or cure.
