Zapping the brain to help patients swallow again
NCT ID NCT07381946
Summary
This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique, combined with swallowing exercises, can help patients who have trouble swallowing after being taken off a ventilator. Researchers will compare this combined approach to swallowing exercises alone in 60 patients. The main goal is to see if it improves patients' ability to eat and drink by mouth and reduces complications like pneumonia.
