Zapping the brain to unblock the gut?
NCT ID NCT07323407
Summary
This study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive form of brain stimulation can help people with severe, treatment-resistant constipation who also experience significant distress from physical symptoms. Researchers will compare the real stimulation to a fake (placebo) treatment in 60 adults over 4 weeks to see if it improves bowel movements and quality of life. The main goal is to see if this approach is safe and provides relief where other treatments have failed.
