Zapping the brain to ease Shingles' lingering agony

NCT ID NCT07352553

Summary

This study is testing whether a painless, non-invasive brain stimulation device can help reduce the chronic nerve pain that lingers after a shingles infection. It will compare the real treatment to a sham (fake) treatment in adults who have had this pain for at least three months. The main goal is to see if this new approach can lower pain levels more effectively than current medications, which often have side effects.
