First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether combining two non-invasive brain stimulation techniques can reduce self-harm urges and impulsivity in 90 teens aged 12-18 who engage in non-suicidal self-injury. Participants will receive either the combined treatment or standard stimulation alone over 14 sessions. The goal is to see if the combined approach leads to more consistent and lasting improvements in self-control and attention away from self-harm triggers.
