Zapping the brain to fight Schizophrenia's hidden symptoms
NCT ID NCT04318977
Summary
This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique can help reduce the 'negative symptoms' of schizophrenia, such as low motivation, social withdrawal, and reduced emotional expression. Researchers are comparing two different stimulation methods against a placebo (fake) treatment in 62 adults with schizophrenia. The goal is to see if this approach can ease these hard-to-treat symptoms and improve patients' daily lives.
