Zapping the brain to calm OCD?
NCT ID NCT05501132
Summary
This study tested whether a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation technique could help people with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Researchers compared real stimulation to a fake (sham) treatment in 39 adults with OCD to see if it reduced their symptoms, anxiety, and depression, and improved their thinking skills and quality of life. The goal was to see if this safe, painless approach could offer a new way to manage the condition.
