Brain zaps target drug cravings in meth addiction

NCT ID NCT06165198

Summary

This small study tested whether personalized brain stimulation could help reduce cravings in people with methamphetamine addiction. Researchers used a non-invasive technique called tACS to deliver electrical stimulation to specific brain regions based on individual brain wave patterns. The study compared this personalized approach to traditional stimulation methods to see which was more effective at changing brain activity and reducing drug cravings.
