Brain zaps tested to unlock movement in trapped patients
NCT ID NCT07257601
Summary
This study is testing whether two types of non-invasive brain stimulation can help improve motor function in people with locked-in syndrome. Researchers will enroll 72 patients and randomly assign them to receive either real or sham stimulation treatments for 4 weeks. The goal is to see if combining these stimulation techniques helps patients regain movement in their limbs and face, with follow-up assessments for 6 months.
