Zapping the brain to fight dementia?

NCT ID NCT07505784

Summary

This study is testing whether a safe, non-invasive brain stimulation device can help improve thinking, memory, and emotional recognition in people with frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Thirty participants will wear a cap that delivers a mild electrical current to the brain for one hour, with some receiving a real treatment and others a placebo. Researchers will measure changes in brain activity and cognitive tests to see if the treatment provides any short-term benefits.
