First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a gentle, noninvasive brain stimulation technique called tDCS can boost foot sensation, balance, and walking ability in older adults who have mild to moderate loss of feeling in their feet. Researchers will test 20 people aged 65 and older who feel unsteady when standing or walking. The goal is to understand how the brain processes foot sensations and whether stimulating it can help improve mobility.
