Zap to the brain: can a quick jolt ease Dementia's communication struggles?

NCT ID NCT07449117

Summary

This study is testing whether a new, painless type of brain stimulation can provide quick, temporary help for language and thinking problems in people with early-stage dementia. Participants with mild cognitive impairment from Parkinson's or Lewy body disease will receive a brief session of either real or fake stimulation while doing language tasks. Researchers will use brain scans to see if the stimulation changes brain activity and helps people understand sentences better.
