Zapping the brain to heal a wobbly ankle?

NCT ID NCT06971705

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique, combined with standard ankle exercises, can help people with chronic ankle instability. Forty adults with a history of repeated ankle sprains will do a 4-week training program, with half receiving real magnetic brain pulses and half receiving a sham (fake) treatment. Researchers will use ankle scores, muscle tests, and brain scans to see if the brain stimulation improves ankle stability and function more than exercise alone.
