Zapping the brain to help relearn movement?

NCT ID NCT05351255

Summary

This study aims to understand how the brain learns new arm movements in people with cerebellar ataxia, a condition that impairs coordination. Researchers are testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique can temporarily change brain activity to improve this learning ability. The study involves 17 participants with cerebellar degeneration completing movement tasks after different types of stimulation.
