New brain zap treatment offers hope for those failed by depression meds

NCT ID NCT06986460

Summary

This study is testing a non-invasive brain stimulation treatment called rTMS for people with bipolar depression who haven't improved with other therapies. Participants receive daily magnetic pulses to the right side of their forehead for 30 days, followed by 6 weeks of monitoring. The goal is to reduce depression symptoms while carefully watching for any signs of mania, offering a new option for those with limited treatment choices.
