Gentle brain zaps tested to help teens with autism think clearer

NCT ID NCT06878326

Summary

This study is testing whether a safe, non-invasive brain stimulation technique called tDCS can improve thinking skills like memory and reaction time in teens and young adults with autism. Researchers will also use brain wave recordings (EEG) to understand how the stimulation works and to try to predict which individuals might benefit most from it. The goal is to better understand and potentially control some of the cognitive challenges associated with autism.
