Zapping the brain to steady unsteady steps

NCT ID NCT07250321

Summary

This study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive electrical brain stimulation can improve movement and coordination in people with degenerative ataxia, a condition that damages the part of the brain controlling balance. Researchers will use a special cap to deliver stimulation to the cerebellum and measure changes using both standard clinical tests and advanced motion sensors. The goal is to see if this safe technique can help ease symptoms like walking difficulties and poor balance.
