First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests whether combining a gentle brain stimulation device (tDCS) with online speech therapy can help adults with primary progressive aphasia, a language disorder often caused by Alzheimer's. About 80 participants will receive either real or fake stimulation during virtual therapy sessions. The goal is to see if the real stimulation improves word-finding and communication confidence.
