Zap to the brain: 3-Minute treatment tested for ADHD memory issues

NCT ID NCT03480737

Summary

This small study tested whether a quick, 3-minute form of non-invasive brain stimulation could improve the faulty brain activity that causes working memory problems in teenagers with ADHD. Fourteen teens each tried three different types of stimulation, including a fake version, while researchers measured their brain waves during memory tests. The goal was to see if this approach could be a future target for treatment, not to provide a cure or lasting symptom relief.
