Home brain zaps tested to boost memory, prevent psychosis in genetic disorder

NCT ID NCT05664412

Summary

This study is testing whether gentle, at-home brain stimulation can improve memory and thinking skills in young people with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome. Researchers want to see if this non-invasive treatment can help strengthen cognitive abilities and potentially reduce the risk of developing serious mental health symptoms later in life. The trial involves 40 participants aged 14-25 who will use a special headset device at home while caregivers help monitor safety.
