Can a Doctor's words and a brain zap ease your pain and fear?

NCT ID NCT06980090

Summary

This study aims to understand how a non-invasive brain stimulation technique and the expectations set by a care provider work together to influence negative feelings like fear and pain. Healthy volunteers will receive either real or fake brain stimulation while hearing positive or negative messages about the treatment's effectiveness. Researchers will measure changes in participants' self-reported feelings and physical responses to see what combination works best.
