Zapping the brain to sharpen the mind: new hope for schizophrenia

NCT ID NCT07273175

Summary

This study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation technique can make computer-based thinking-skills training more effective for adults with schizophrenia. Researchers will compare two groups: one gets real stimulation before training, and the other gets a fake stimulation, to see which leads to better improvements in memory, attention, and planning. The goal is to find a better way to help manage the thinking difficulties that often come with this condition.
