New brain stent trial aims to stop repeat strokes

NCT ID NCT05316311

Summary

This study is testing whether implanting a new type of stent (a tiny mesh tube) into a severely narrowed brain artery is safe and effective at preventing future strokes. It will involve about 194 adults in China who have already had at least two strokes despite taking standard medications. Researchers will track participants for a year to see if the stent keeps the artery open and prevents new strokes.
