Advanced DNA sleuthing hunts mysterious brain infections in the tropics
NCT ID NCT07251049
Summary
This study aims to identify the specific germs causing severe brain and spinal cord infections in Guadeloupe when standard tests fail. Researchers will use advanced DNA sequencing technology on samples from up to 100 patients to look for known and new pathogens. The goal is to improve diagnosis and understanding of these serious conditions, which can have long-term health impacts.
