First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study looks at whether brain scans and anti-vaping messages can help predict which young adult vapers might start smoking cigarettes. 180 participants who vape but don't smoke will have brain scans and then receive weekly anti-vaping ads or no ads for a year. Researchers will track their vaping, smoking, and nicotine use over time.
