Scientists scan brains to unlock mystery of chronic jaw pain
NCT ID NCT07259902
Summary
This study aims to understand how chronic jaw pain and related conditions like anxiety or depression might physically change the brain. Researchers will use special brain scans (fMRI) on 60 people with long-term jaw disorders to look for these changes. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help guide future treatments, but this study itself does not test any new therapies.
