Summary

This small, early-stage study aims to see how a single dose of the antidepressant escitalopram (Lexapro) affects brain activity in teenagers with autism. Researchers will use MRI brain scans and simple computer tasks to measure changes related to rigid thinking and repetitive behaviors. The goal is to gather basic knowledge about how the drug works in the autistic brain to inform future treatment research.
