Can Kids' brains heal better? new scan seeks answers for MS

NCT ID NCT05258396

Summary

This study aims to understand if children with multiple sclerosis (MS) have a greater natural ability to repair the protective coating (myelin) around their brain's nerve cells than adults do. Researchers will use a special type of brain scan on 40 children and teens with MS to measure this repair process and see if it's linked to their thinking skills and physical disability. The goal is to develop better tools to measure how well future treatments might promote healing in young patients.
