Scientists probe Brain's natural Pain-Killing power
NCT ID NCT06726018
Summary
This study aims to understand how the brain naturally inhibits pain. Researchers will use brain stimulation (TMS) and repeated pain tests (CPM) on 75 healthy adults to see if training the brain's pain-control pathways changes how it works. The study will also explore how factors like stress, optimism, and cultural identity might influence this process.
