Doctors seek better brain monitor for awake artery surgery
NCT ID NCT07150260
Summary
This study aims to improve safety during a surgery to prevent strokes by comparing two ways to monitor brain oxygen levels. It will involve 60 patients who are awake during the procedure to clear a blocked neck artery. Researchers will check if a simple pressure measurement correlates with more advanced brain oxygen readings to help guide surgeons.
