Could a simple monitor prevent brain injury during common surgery?
NCT ID NCT07270341
Summary
This study aims to understand how well a special brain oxygen monitor works during shoulder surgeries where patients are tilted upright. Researchers will observe 40 patients to see if this monitor provides useful information beyond standard vital signs, especially for those with conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure. The goal is to learn if this tool can help spot early signs of reduced blood flow to the brain during these operations.
